Acid stained concrete is a process in which the acid etches, or opens the pores of the concrete, allowing the metallic mineral salts to react with the existing concrete, creating beautiful, permanent colors. Since every concrete surface is different, every application produces a one-of-a-kind translucent finish where the natural characteristics of the concrete show through.

Scoring a pattern or border into your concrete floor adds a new dimension and look. The scored design will detract from any imperfections in the floor's surface, while the borders conceal the spots left from the removal of the tack strips.

Acid stained concrete floors are so durable and low maintenance, it's ideal for any commercial institution, but the unique elegance compliments any home and lifestyle. Minimal maintenace consists of sweeping or swiffering when needed, and mopping with a vinegar and water solution to disinfect and prevent streaking. Wax should applied every 4 to 6 months to protect the sealer, but can be applied more often to enhance the shine.

Exterior surfaces will be refreshed every few years with a new coat of sealer to continue producing brilliant colors, as well as protecting from unsightly stains.
